Lisa has been a family law attorney since 2016. Before moving to Monterey, she practiced family law in Orange County and Riverside County. She earned her law degree from Trinity Law School where she was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Criminal Procedure. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2016, after spending a summer in Strasbourg, France, studying Human Rights Law at the Institute for International Human Rights. Lisa is a member of the Monterey, Orange, and Riverside County Bar Associations. She was President of Trinity's Federalist Society and was a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children) over the past few years in Orange County and plans to continue her advocacy in Monterey. Lisa is a strong advocate for her clients, and ever mindful of their best interests, including protecting their assets, and compassion for their children. Lisa thrived as a Manager of Programs and Development at the Urban Land Institute (ULI) where she managed multiple professional committees made up of the upper management of law firms, architecture firms, and land developers, to advance directives of the company's mission which is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide. Prior to her work at ULI, she was a Director at the Orange County United Way where she directed committees to envision a community where all individuals and families achieve their human potential through education, financial stability and healthy lives. Lisa has 20 years of experience in planning, logistics, and volunteering in community activities involving preserving the family unit and community. "Clients are experiencing a loss and it is my job to assist them in letting go of the past and moving forward toward a positive future. Encouraging and advocating for them through their divorce and custody issues and designing strategies for them to come out positive on the other side is my mission."
Lisa has two adult step sons from her previous marriage to a Personal Injury attorney in Orange County with whom she remains close. She is known as "Auntie Lisa" to far too many nieces and nephews and all of their friends. Lisa loves to travel the world, is working on improving her Spanish, and loves animals. She lost her beloved, of her family again soon. Lisa has spent her adult life volunteering and advocating for those in need by volunteering at Big Sisters of Orange County, Food Bank, Operation Santa Claus, Orange County Bar Association's Young Leaders Group Community Outreach Committee and many more throughout her life. She loves her new Central Coast home, is enjoying exploring its rich history, and is looking for her next volunteerism opportunity.
