Afsaneh Afzalnia was born and raised in Southern California. In 2016, she graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Afsaneh received her Juris Doctorate degree in May 2020 from the University of La Verne, College of Law and was admitted to practice law in the State of California in January 2021. In 2023, Afsaneh began working at R.S.C. Law Group at their Orange County location.

While attending law school, Afsaneh received a Cali Award for the highest grade in her Trial Advocacy and Remedies class and she was a member of her school’s Alternate Dispute Resolution competition team. Prior to joining R.S.C. Law Group, Afsaneh worked as a dependency attorney where she represented neglected and abused minors and gained trial experience. She also worked as a creditors' rights attorney where she gained valuable negotiation skills.

Afsaneh was drawn to family law by a profound desire to make a difference in people's lives, especially when they are at their most vulnerable. She recognizes that family legal issues, such as divorce, child custody, spousal support, and asset division are deeply personal and emotionally charged matters. It is the emotional aspect that fueled Afsaneh's desire to pursue a career in family law. Afsaneh takes a client-centered approach to ensure that client's feel heard, understood, and well-represented.

Afsaneh's passion for working with families and her interest in helping children is what led Afsaneh to become a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children) in Orange County. Additionally, Afsaneh has experience working with youth involved in the dependency and delinquency systems and strives to be an advocate for them in and outside the courtroom.

In her free time, Afsaneh enjoys reading, cooking, reality tv shows, and camping. Afsaneh’s family is originally from Iran, and she has a large extended family that she enjoys spending time with.
